When you’re ready to put yourself to the test, one-to-one Zoom classes are a good way to try out your paces. Express yourself freely – and get the feedback you need to fine-tune your skills.
Put your skills to the test
It’s when we’re confronted with the need to our express ourselves that we make the most progress learning a language. Video-conferencing provides the perfect environment for creating such situations – and putting your skills to the test
Your one-to-one zoom classes will last 90 minutes. Ahead of the first session, your teacher will discuss your interests and share relevant documents that will act as a focal point for your exchanges.
Express yourself freely
In the first half of the class, you are encouraged to express yourself freely around the chosen topic. The act of searching for words is an essential part of the learning process. Find them and you’ll embed your knowledge. Get stuck and you’ll know what gaps need filling.
In the second half of the class, your teacher will home in on or two improvement points that she’s picked up. In this phase, your knowledge will deepen as you become aware of aspects of the French language you’d not previously focussed on.
The atmosphere of the sessions is informal: the intention is for them to be a pleasure in themselves as well as a means of progressing with your French.
